Welcome to my place. I’m a passionate developer talking about languages, compilers, graphics programming and on a more general note, anything that touches interesting technical challenges and open-source.
I’ve been coding since I was 11 when I discovered the C programming language. I took on many online nicknames, skypers, phaazon and I’m now sticking to hadronized (yes, I love physics!). Since then, I wrote many different projects, ranging from demoscene (LRTLR, Heat Station, Céleri Rémoulade, Outline Invitro), Haskell projects (monad-journal, wavefront, smoothie, …) and more recently around Rust (rust-lang RFCs, luminance, splines, glsl, …). I also spent a non-negligible time working in the Neovim community by providing plugins (hop.nvim, mind.nvim) as well as being the founder and main maintainer of the this-week-in-neovim website (abandoned today).
Today, I am the founder and main maintainer of kak-tree-sitter, a Unix server bridging tree-sitter and Kakoune, as well as maintaining other projects, such a low-lever general-purpose systems programming language and other candies.
I obtained my engineer’s degree CTI by fall 2015, delivered by EFREI.
I worked in many companies as Software Engineer:
- Essilor Int., where I was working at the production. Mostly Perl.
- Sculpteo, a 3D printing company where I worked on mesh algorithms, rendering and backend / frontend. Mostly C++, Python and Javascript.
- Veepee, an e-commerce and retail company where I worked on a from-scratch rewrite of an Order Management System. I was working in a small team of Haskell developers. Mostly Haskell, Elm, TransactSQL and stuff I don’t remember.
- Ledger, a cryptowallet (cryptocurrency) company, where I mainly worked on a low-level library. Mostly C++, Typescript, Rust.
- Datadog, the place I currently work in, an observability platform for monitoring, alerting and analytics in high-scale, cloud environments. I work in a team that is responsible for providing a Rust library abstracting the concepts of streaming (stateless, stateful, consumer, producer) for all of our product and integration teams. The library is exposed via bindings (C, Go, Java, Python). I also do a lot of operational tasks, such as Incident Commander, writing post-mortems, respond to incidents, be on-call, perform production investigations, run gamedays, etc.
